Whether you’re seeking a fresh perspective or deep, transformational change, she engages with a gentle, honest, and active presence to guide you through your challenges.

Couples Counseling: Crisis in a relationship often signals a need for change. Dr. Liz takes your partnership seriously, offers a variety of benefits designed to help partners in a relationship improve their communication, resolve conflicts, deepen intimacy, recover from infidelity, overcome trauma, and strengthen their overall relationship, focusing not just on challenges but on creating a future together that thrives on mutual satisfaction and understanding.

Family and Individual Therapy: Dr. Liz believes that sometimes, life gives us poor instructions. Her goal-oriented therapy helps re-educate and redirect paths towards fulfilling relationships and personal happiness. She identifies patterns and offers strategic interventions to help you, and your loved ones, achieve a better quality of life.

Intensive Therapy/ Marathon Couples Sessions: If you're seeking rapid relief from anxiety, depression, trauma, or relationship issues including communication issues, intimacy and infidelity recovery, our Intensive Therapy or Marathon sessions offer an effective solution. About: The Gottman Marathon Method BOOK A Marathon Session Phone/ Text #: 813- 240-3237 Email: elizabethmahaney@gmail.com

I enjoy working with individuals, couples, families, teens & children. I provide therapy in a comfortable, flexible, and down-to-earth manner. I have a sense of humor when appropriate and tend to be easy going, gentle, and supportive. I am honest, non judgmental, a great listener, and highly confidential.

I’ll let you know what I hear going on. I will give you suggestions either for how we can approach your problems together, or for ways you can deal with them between sessions. You won’t be alone in the work that we do together – I will be an active participant in your therapy.

If some part of your life is not working for you, maybe you’ve received poor instructions. The good news is we can re-educate ourselves. GOAL: Recover satisfaction in all your relationships, including with- yourself! I can also help when you just need a new perspective on a situation. I’ll tell you if I think that you are following any patterns and suggest ways to interrupt those patterns.

I welcome the opportunity to use my skills to help enhance your existing lifestyle, and to teach you and/or your family members the process for getting the very best out of life.

COUPLES SESSIONS:

Sometimes crisis can be a wake up call for couples… screaming: THINGS NEED TO CHANGE! Take this opportunity to make necessary life-altering changes and move toward a new, happier chapter in your life!

If this were a life threatening emergency, no one would ask you to wait around for assistance…you would probably take drastic life-saving measures immediately.  I will take your relationship crisis seriously!

Typically, we will work together for 1 hour sessions but 1 1/2 - 3 hour sessions and workshops are also offered. I have found the longer sessions (The Gottman Marathon Method) of working with couples to be far more effective in achieving immediate, sustainable, positive change. I also use the more common practice of meeting for a one-hour therapy session, on a weekly basis, over a certain period of time.

My approach is strength based and solution focused. I want you to feel comfortable in the space that I hold for you. Instead of spending our time together talking about all of the things that are wrong with your relationship, I would rather spend our time together working on resolving issues and developing a treatment plan together for the future. I use a Kan Ban to help you create goals, maintain focus, track progress, and hold yourselves accountable! < =  Success ...!

This is your therapy and I will adjust to your individualized needs. I look forward to offering my services to help you create the changes that you would like to see happen in your life.

Intentional creation, clear goals & accountability!
— Dr. Liz
